Nelson plays: Ultionus: A Tale of Petty Revenge

In a 'random act of gaming' Nelson picked up a copy of Ultionus: A Tale of Petty Revenge. It's a surprising amount of game for a little price, and even on easymode it was fairly challenging.

Nelson had this game on his Steam Wishlist for a while, and after a rough night of Spelunky runs, he wanted to try something new and different. The game mechanics are pretty solid, at times a bit frustrating - thinking you can complete a jump to another platform only to fall short of landing it and having to backtrack to retry.

This game is about pattern recognition, and once you get them down you can get past the bosses - which were very infuriating at times. The art style was novel and the game had some funny moments. All-in-all for a $6 game that weighed in at under 60mb to install, not a bad buy.

There are some items to hunt for if you miss them on the initial playthrough, but after a tough first spin, you might not want to go back for more. Unless you're into that sort of thing.
